I've just installed Excel 2016. In earlier versions I have been able to display pages individually. This allowed a user to input data on any page without having a mass of other pages visible. Open the View tab and preview page breaks and layouts, show and hide gridlines and headings, set zoom magnification, manage windows and panes, and view macros. You could be forgiven for thinking that the (confusingly named) Excel 2016 for Mac (suitable only for Apple computers) was “just the same” as Excel 2016 for Windows.
